Corneal disorders

Corneial® is a dietary supplement containing lactoferrin, hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan with vitamin D3, useful in cases of reduced intake or increased requirement of these nutrients.

WHAT IS IT? Corneial® Gel is a sterile ophthalmic gel containing 5% Dexpanthenol. WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? Corneial® Gel comes in a 10g tube of ophthalmic gel. Corneial® Gel helps protect the surface of the eye in patients with tear film abnormalities. The presence of Dexpanthenol helps maintain hydration and protection of the ocular surface, providing prolonged relief from the effects of dry eye syndrome caused by irritation, burning and foreign body sensation due to environmental factors (wind, sun, dry air, salt water, smoke, prolonged exposure to sunlight, air conditioning, heat), prolonged computer use, eye surgery, conjunctivitis or contact lens wear. The presence of carbomer as a thickening agent helps to simulate the normal viscosity of tears.

Corneial® eye drops are an adjuvant solution for the prevention of red and tired eyes. Suitable for those who suffer from dry eyes, poor tear production and redness caused by external agents and conditioned by the use of contact lenses. Lubricating and refreshing, it provides immediate relief for tired and red eyes. The formulation of Corneial® eye drops, based on the use of new plant-derived molecules, makes use of the intrinsic properties of Echinacea and sunflower seeds. Thanks to a special extraction method, meristematic stem cell extracts with recognised moisturising properties, phytosterols with emollient activity, amino acids with nourishing activity and mineral salts useful for osmotic balance are obtained from organic Echinacea plantations. GPI Choline is obtained from sunflower lecithin extracts, which have a soothing, moisturising and nourishing effect due to the presence of essential nutrients such as choline, inositol and glycerol. The addition of sodium hyaluronate, which has high viscoelastic properties, increases lubrication and comfort, especially in cases of dry eyes. Finally, the presence of eyebright, known as “eye herb” for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, provides relief in cases of tearing, redness and swelling.

Corneial® MED eye drops are indicated for the relief of redness, discomfort, fatigue, itching and dryness of the eyes caused by: air conditioning or heating, exposure to smoke or other types of air pollution, prolonged exposure to wind or sunlight, chlorine, salt, sports activities in general, intense study or work, use of contact lenses, foreign bodies, excessive use of video screens and general fatigue. Corneial® MED is also recommended for dry eyes caused by blepharitis, trauma and in pre- and post-operative prophylaxis for eye surgery (cataract, refractive, IVT, etc.). The product contains cross-linked hyaluronic acid and PHMB. Hyaluronic acid, a natural polymer present in the tear film and in the human eye, is able to relieve irritation of the ocular surface by keeping it optimally hydrated. The cross-linked formula improves the properties of hyaluronic acid, achieving greater bioavailability and resistance to degradation. Corneial® MED also contains polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB), a substance that helps inhibit microbial proliferation. Corneial® MED is a lubricating, protective and moisturising ophthalmic solution. Its use provides immediate relief, freshness and well-being.

Corneial® Spray is a spray indicated for burning, itching and irritation of the eyelid area, generally associated with dry eyes but also with blepharitis and other common eye conditions. Corneial® Spray is a medical device based on liposomes containing trehalose, jojoba oil and terpinen-4-ol (an active component of natural oils such as tea tree oil), indicated for irritation of the eyelid area that often accompanies dry eyes, but also blepharitis and other common eye conditions. After applying Corneial® Spray, a pleasant feeling of well-being is quickly achieved. The special formulation of Corneial® Spray is able to restore the lipid component of the eyelid epidermis and ensure that it remains properly hydrated. restoring the hydrolipidic balance resolves symptoms of burning and itching of the eyelids, thereby reducing the swelling and oedema caused by constant rubbing of the irritated eyelid. The innovative spray formulation allows the product to be applied evenly to the periocular area without the need for direct contact.
