ARE YOU A HEALTH PROFESSIONAL?
10 g tube
WHAT IS IT?
Corneial® Gel is a sterile ophthalmic gel containing 5% Dexpanthenol.
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Corneial® Gel comes in a 10g tube of ophthalmic gel.
Corneial® Gel helps protect the surface of the eye in patients with tear film abnormalities.
The presence of Dexpanthenol helps maintain hydration and protection of the ocular surface, providing prolonged relief from the effects of dry eye syndrome caused by irritation, burning and foreign body sensation due to environmental factors (wind, sun, dry air, salt water, smoke, prolonged exposure to sunlight, air conditioning, heat), prolonged computer use, eye surgery, conjunctivitis or contact lens wear.
The presence of carbomer as a thickening agent helps to simulate the normal viscosity of tears.
Remove the cap from the tube, tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid with your index finger to form a pouch. Slowly squeeze the tube until a small drop forms at the tip and spread it evenly inside the eyelid. Open and close your eye two or three times to help distribute the gel over the entire surface of the eye and remove any excess product from the eyelid. Be sure to close the tube with the cap.
Instil one drop per eye, once or more times a day, unless your doctor or pharmacist has recommended an alternative regimen.
Dexpanthenol 5% (w/v), 20% sodium hydroxide solution, carbomer, disodium edetate, cetrimide, water for injections.
- Corneial® Gel is for external ophthalmic use only.
- Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the preparation.
- Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
- Do not touch the eye with the tip of the tube.
- Do not use if the tube or safety seal is damaged.
- Recap after use.
- Do not wear contact lenses while instilling the product: after administration, wait at least 15 minutes before inserting them.
- In rare cases, temporary blurred vision may occur after administration due to the viscosity of the gel. It is therefore advisable to wait until the blurred vision clears before undertaking any activity that requires clear vision.
- If Corneial® Gel is used concomitantly with another ophthalmic product, wait at least 15 minutes between instilling the two products. Corneial® Gel should be the last product instilled.
- Once the tube has been opened, Corneial® Gel should be used within 8 weeks.
- In case of eye irritation, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor.
- Continuous use of the gel is intended for a 30-day treatment. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Do not ingest.
- Store below 25°C.
